Ariana Walker (born April 16, 1991) is an American pageant contestant, who participated in the 2012 Miss America Pageant on January 14, 2012. Her talent was Contemporary Lyrical Dance. Born in Bismarck, North Dakota, Walker was named Miss North Dakota on June 11, 2011 after previously winning the title of Miss State Capitol. Her parents are Dwayne and Renae Walker. Walker is a 2009 graduate of Bismarck High School, and an attendee of the University of Mary where she studies in Physical Therapy to obtain a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, specializing in Pediatrics. Her scholastic honors include, the Dean’s List, the Harold Schafer Leadership Program and Early Acceptance into Physical Therapy Program. Her career ambition is to open a pediatric physical therapy clinic.
In 2008, Walker was named Bismarck’s Outstanding Teen at the North Dakota’s Miss America’s Outstanding Teen pageant, where she won the Preliminary Evening Gown award and the Non-finalist Evening Gown and Interview awards. In 2010, she also won the Miss North Dakota Teen USA pageant.
During Walker’s reign as Miss North Dakota, her platforms were the Ronald McDonald House Charities, benefiting families needing housing during long medical treatments, and the Miss North Dakota Scholarship Organization.

Why we think she’s hot:
When Ariana was only ten years old, her tiny little Bismarck, North Dakota grade school was visited by Miss America 2001, Angela Perez Baraquio. Baraquio spoke to her school about bullying, and not only did Ariana feel as though she was talking directly to her, being that she herself was often the subject of bullying, the other thing that Walker appreciated the most from Baraquio’s visit was the way that she took off her crown, so that the students would focus on Angela the person- and not the adornment on her head. Let’s face it, there are hundreds of pretty ‘contestants’ across handfuls of pageants each and every year, slapping Vaseline on their teeth and talking about how they can make the planet a greener and more peaceful place. Very few actually live it when the camera isn’t flashing, or some committee isn’t keeping score. With that serving as the contrast here, know that these days… it’s Walker who is visiting the grade schools, and she’s not wearing her crown and white gloves when she does either. It’s usually a pair of jeans and some sandals, and some very down to earth attire. Yes, we definitely dig Ariana’s body, piercing blue eyes, and appreciate the things that she’s overcome. But when you get down to it, it’s her very real style & personality… that for us, makes her stand out from the crowd.
