Christy Lynn Jones (born October 2, 1988) is best known as an American softball player for Georgia Tech, between 2008 and 2011, where she majored in mechanical engineering. Her parents are Bruce and Donna Jones, and she has one older sister, Casie. She wears number four. Christy played outfield, and was best known for her speed, high batting average, and daredevil defense.
Jones was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She is a three-year letterwinner in softball in high school. Among her high school awards are All-League 2nd team, All-League honorable mention, All-State 1st team as a junior and senior, All-League MVP, All-District 1st team, High school athlete of the year, High school Heisman nominee, Finalist for Greater Wichita athlete of the year. She was also a one year letterwinner in basketball, volleyball player, valedictorian, on the Principal’s honor roll, National honor society, French club, Pep club, and Physics club.
Christy was named to the All-ACC Academic Team in 2008, 2009 and 2010. She was also voted to the 2010 All-ACC second team.

Often referred to by internet jockeys as “The Next Adrienne Acton“, curiously enough, Christy Jones even wore the same jersey number as the former Arizona Wildcat star- number 4. The comparisons don’t stop there either. Though Acton is a brunette and Jones is a blonde, both are outfielders, both are slap hitters who are/were considered to be ‘second lead off hitters’ and both rely heavily on blazing speed to get the job done. Jones is perhaps a little better than Acton on defense however, and as most Tech fans know, she’s not afraid to get dirty either, especially when it’s en route to making one of her spectacular catches which truly do rival some of the best you will ever see.
