Moran Atias (born 9 April 1981) is an Israeli actress and model. Atias was born in Haifa, Israel, to parents of Moroccan Jewish descent. She is best known for starring as the beautiful temptress Inez in the television series Crash, as well as her guest appearances on shows such as CSI: New York, CSI: Miami, Rules of Engagement, and White Collar. She has won the titles of Miss Globe International in 1996, Germany’s Top Model of the World in 1997 and Miss Israel in 1998. She also hosted the Israeli version of Deal or No Deal.
Atias first appeared on TV when she was 15, starring in the Israeli youth show Out of Focus. By the age of 17, she flew to Germany to launch her international modeling career which also led her to Italy, where she pursued cover and runway modelling, TV show hostessing, film acting, radio, and so on. She was discovered by Roberto Cavalli. She also modelled for D&G and for BBG jewelers. Later, she was the hostess of a popular TV talk show in Italy. After establishing herself as a successful international model, she was encouraged to pursue a career in acting. Atias has participated in international films in English, Italian, Hebrew and Spanish and was nominated for Best Actress in ‘Festival Sguardo al Femminile’ for her role in Days of Love.
Atias participated in the Artists for Justice and Peace volunteer mission with Sean Penn following the 2010 Haiti earthquake, in which she assisted the evacuation of refugees to Florida. During Moran’s second trip to Haiti, she took part in a workshop at Cine Institute in Jacmel. She is a goodwill ambassador for IsraAid. Atias also received a testimonial nomination by the City of Milan to be the official spokeswoman leading the campaigns against graffiti and animal cruelty for 2005-06. Following her success abroad, Moran was cast in the Israeli Strauss commercial and chosen to lead the Renuar campaign. In May 2010, Moran worked with Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) and hosted/organized a charity event at Cannes Film Festival. In November 2010, Moran hosted/organized a charity event for APJ in New York, with proceeds going to the first free high school for the children of the slums of Haiti. -Wikipedia
