Anastasia Katya Breezy Dhanraj (born December 22, 1993) better known as Tasie Dhanraj or Tasie D, is a British actress and singer/songwriter. who is best known for her character Mara Jaffray on Nickelodeon’s international show House of Anubis, and being a former member of the three-girl band called WooWoos. She was born to an English mother and a Guyanese father. She has one sister, Tasha, a student and columnist.
House of Anubis is a jointly American/British/Belgian produced teen drama mystery television series based on the Belgian/Dutch television series Het Huis Anubis. The series premiered on Nickelodeon on New Year’s Day 2011 in the United States and on 25 February 2011 in the United Kingdom. The series is the first Nickelodeon series to be filmed overseas, the first soap opera created by Nickelodeon and the channel’s first soap opera aimed at children and teenagers (sixth in Latin America). Dhanraj’s character Mara Jaffray, is a straight A student with a caring and quiet personality. Tasie also starred as Mina in the 2011 TV movie, The Tower. She has also starred in the musical production of High School Musical as Gabriella Montez, the same character portrayed by Vanessa Hudgens on The Disney Channel. On stage she has performed in The Masque Of Every Man and Blood Wedding.
Tasie is highly skilled at cabaret dancing, contemporary dance, jazz dancing, piano, skiing, and swimming.
